Frequently Asked Questions.

What training cases do you take, and what do you refer out?

Dog Training Adventures handles almost all training cases, with the only exclusion of true aggression cases or those who have a severe bite history. We can work with everyone from puppies to old dogs, calm and timid to crazy and overactive, no previous training to advanced training experience, and everything in between!

What training methods and tools do you use?

Dog Training Adventures believes in positive reinforcement training following Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) training principles! We customize each dog and handlers training to work best for them to reduce frustration and make training fun. In our training we use a lot of play and training games to strenghthen the relationships we have with our dogs and make training fun and enjoyable for all involved!

What training education and experience do you have?

I have been working with dogs since high school, and first learned the basics of dog training, handling, and grooming, my sophomore year. From there I worked with dogs on and off in various capacities including grooming facilities and doggie daycare. After graduating high school completed CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, which jumpstarted my career as a trainer. I have also completed an online theory course surrounding NePoPo®️ training system as well as an intensive online Service Dog School through Heart and Soul K9 Training. Most recently I have attended the Unity Service Dog Seminar as well as online seminars with Feywild Dog Training. I am also a member of the IACP, an AKC Evaluator, and am also always working on earning more certifications and continuing education!

Do you offer a training guarantee?

No, we do not offer a guarantee on our training. Training your dog takes time, commitment, perseverance, and above all else dedication. We cannot train your dog on our own, and as an owner it is your responsibility to practice and put in place the training that we work on. I can teach you how to do it, but only you can ensure your dogs success!
