Service Dog Training

Overview

Our goal is to help support Owner Train handlers with professional training support, giving as much or little help as each team needs to succeed! We have a wide variety of services specific to our Service Dog clients so we can best help those who need it! We believe in positive reinforcement and LIMA training methods for our service dogs to help create a dog who not only wants to work but also loves their job!

Group Services

Open to all service dog teams, whether a client of Dog Training Adventures or not, these group classes are a fun and safe environement to be able to meet other handlers, work through training, and feel supported in this journey! These classes are for both in training and fully task trained service dogs as the state of Massachusetts allows both the same Public Access rights. In class we will work through a wide variety of skills including basic obedience, task training, dog neutrality, and answer any questions you might have!

One on One Services

  • Service Dog Assessment

Does your dog have what it takes to be a service dog? We are more than happy to help figure that out! Being a service dog is a hard job, and we want to make sure we are being fair to our dog when deciding to start them down this path!

We are able to assess your dog both before and during your training to ensure this career is the right fit for them

  • Private Lessons

Every lesson is customized for you and your dog to help set you up for success when out working! Private lessons can help establish training goals, work through any issues you might be having, and just continue to improve your training!

Lessons are available in virtual and in person and include a follow up email with a lesson overview

  • Service Dog School

This Day Train program is available to those local to Boston, Ma and include dropping your dog off with me for the day! This helps supplement training while you are at work or busy during the day so they can learn all the skills needed to be the best service dog they can be!

An asssessment is required before accepting into Service Dog School. Regular lessons are required to keep your spot as they are very limited

  • Board and Train

Need a jump start in your training? Let us start laying down those foundations for you in a board train!

Our Board and Train programs are meant as a jumpstart to your training or as a finishing school to polish up what they already know! While with us they get the chance to work on all the skills a dog will need to succeed including basic and advanced obedience, taskwork, Public Access training and more all while living alongside my personal service dog in our home!
